E-Mail Filters

E-Mail Filters provide a way for you to filter out messages to your domain name and prevent your e-mail accounts from receiving such messages. The e-mails that are filtered out via the filter are deleted. This is useful for blocking out known spam messages.

NOTE: An E-Mail Filter will be active among all e-mail accounts you have created on your domain. There is no way to single out a filter to only act upon one address.

To begin, click on the E-Mail Filters link. There you can see a list of any filters you may have, you will see the option to Delete the filters as well. To add a new filter, click the Add an E-mail Filter link.

The first dropdown box you will, allows you to select which header you want to match. Your choices are:
The second dropdown box pertains to how you want the messages to be matched.
The last textbox is where you enter the conditional or what you want the message to contain in order to be flagged by the filter. For example in the below example, I am wanting to filter out any messages where the Subject contains the words Free Money.

After you click Activate you will see a confirmation message confirming the creation of the filter. Now if you go back to the E-Mail Filters page, you will see the newly created filter.

You will also see a Delete button beside the filter. Use this button to delete any filter you no longer wish to act upon your e-mail addresses.
